This is a summary of the last two months of activities, most of which were conducted online and by telephone, given that most of the country was still confined or with minimal interaction.
New collaboration with business associations
LEADERSCLUB has signed Memorandum of Understandings for information exchange, mutual support, and joint activities with the Association of Industrialists (ALI), the Lebanese Federation for Tourism Industries and the Federation of Information Technology and Telecom Associations (ALMA). Several other associations have agreed to sign such MOUs which will be announced in the next few weeks.
Lebanon Opportunities Q2 issue
   
The second issue of Lebanon Opportunities this year was published with a focus on the controversy surrounding the government’s ‘Financial Recovery Plan’. The issue also contains results from research studies around wages, BDL circulars, and other issues which club members already have received in-depth reports on. All club members should have received their copies. Please contact us if you have not received the issue, or need more copies.

Report on awareness of BDL circulars
The Central Bank has issued several circulars in support of businesses. A survey was conducted to gauge the level of awareness and especially bank compliance. It has found a large gap between these circulars and their actual application. The survey was sent to all club members. It was also handed to the Governor of the Central Bank – who has forwarded it to the Banking Control Commission.

LL/USD exchange rate daily update
For the past months, club members have been receiving mid-day, every weekday, an update of the LL/USD exchange rate range at money exchange counters. InfoPro Research is acquiring the data from a number of exchange counters in various areas in Greater Beirut.
